Until contractors or their customers develop X-ray vision or find a crystal ball that actually works, any project requiring the removal of existing materials can involve surprises. Ours did. What happens next can make or break a project and your budget. With McGowan and Dokken the excellent communications that are just part of the standard practice come into play as a straightforward conversation takes place regarding what the issues are and what options exist to resolve them. While McGowan and Dokken is there to offer guidance they're totally willing to work with the customer towards a resolution that best fits the situation.
With McGowan and Dokken we never felt pressured or misinformed. They all worked as if their next job depended on the references of this job, meaning that customer satisfaction is a well evident goal. Our experiences with other contractors have not always been so good. John McGowan and the crew were quick to answer any questions. Phone calls were promptly returned and emails answered. They ran a very clean job and were respectful of the existing home and furnishings. Of course the biggest miracle of all was not only that the project came in at the quoted amount but included a credit for unneeded work. Pretty incredible. We would have them back in our home in a heartbeat.
